Holland’s work is done, but you may see more Spider-Man in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War.
Who isn’t excited for Captain America: Civil War? There’s many reasons to be excited for this movie, one of them is Spider-Man.
The upcoming Marvel film will introduce a new version of the teen superhero many know and love for their own cinematic universe played by Tom Holland. According to Vulture, Peter Parker’s cameo is done. The writers of the upcoming Spider-Man reboot for Marvel Studios expressed to the site:
Daley and Goldstein will have to contend with special effects of a different sort over the next few months, as they’ve been drafted to write Marvel’s new Spider-Man reboot. That’s still in the early stages, as Goldstein says they’re going in to Marvel this weekend to look at footage of Tom Holland’s cameo as Peter Parker in Captain America: Civil War. “We hear good things,” he said. “We might even get to look at the Spidey suit, which is exciting.” Forget any rumored cast lists that have been floating around the web, however: “We’ve discussed certain characters,” said Daley, “but nothing is certain yet, for sure.”
Tom Holland’s cameo as Peter Parker was filmed, but according to Devin Faraci at Birth.Movies.Death. audiences will experience more Spidey than many expected. He writes on his site:
I don’t know the exact number, but sources have recently made it clear to me that there’s more Spider-Man in this movie than I expected. Spider-Man doesn’t just swing by and say hi – gets his hands dirty in this Civil War. He fights. And his fight scene might be the one that really gets fandom excited – not because of how top tier the face-off will be, but because of how profoundly dorky and unlike any other big screen superhero fight it will be.
What I’ve been told about Civil War is that Spider-Man’s role is very small, so these are great news. We should be grateful that Spider-Man is actually on a Civil War film, but this turned more exciting now that he we know he has some other scenes in the movie. It’s also possible that Peter Parker may film other scenes, this is just pure speculation and nothing official, but if there’s something we know about Marvel is that they love reshoots.
