SUICIDE SQUAD’s teaser trailer hits SDCC

David Ayer’s effort to bring the beloved DC villains to the big screen has a teaser trailer.

Unlike Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice‘s trailer, David Ayer’s Suicide Squad teaser trailer is SDCC exclusive. This present for the fans got everyone screaming at Hall H. The trailer doesn’t shine as much as the video we saw today which featured The Trinity. but it’s quite good.

The trailer shows Amanda Waller talking about the Suicide Squad, a team conformed by bad guys. Then we get a introduction to Harley Quinn, and she pops up in the trailer quite a lot. Quinn is hanging upside down in her cell, like doing aerial dance, it’s an interesting shot which got people cheering for the character. Deadshot, played by Will Smith, gets some moments in the footage. The trailer also shows many members of the team, like Enchantress, Killer Croc, and Jai Courtney’s Captain Boomerang looks very nice. We get shots of pretty much everyone who was revealed in the picture posted by David Ayer on Twitter.

The leaked footage of Batman chasing the Joker is in the trailer, too. It looks almost magical, I loved the shot.

Speaking of the devil, the trailer closes with the Joker, with tattoos and all. “I’m not gonna kill you. I’m just gonna hurt you really, really bad,” he says smiling at the poor guy who he is going to torture – which people say is Jason Todd! – and the trailer ends.

I wish I could give you guys some pictures of the footage, but that could mean the end of the blog, or the pictures will have to be taken down. Let’s hope that Warner Bros. releases the trailer soon just like they did with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
