The iconic villain is coming to the screen again.
It’s a bit sad that the last time we saw Darth Vader was on the prequels. The Dark Lord of the Sith recently made an appereance in Disney XD’s Star Wars Rebels voiced again by the great James Earl Jones, but that’s an animated show.
Now, according to Devin Faraci of Birth.Movies.Death, Darth Vader will show up in the first Star Wars spin-off directed by Gareth Edwards. Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One sounds very interesting since the first you hear the concept of the movie. A heist movie. A movie about a team who is trying to steal the plans of the Death Star. That, for me, sounds so intriguing and cool. The fact that Darth Vader will be in the movie makes my inner child smile.
I’m incredibly excited for Rogue One now that the Dark Lord of the Sith is going to make an appereance. Darth Vader, however, is not going to be the main villain in the movie. Faraci states that he is pulling the strings behind the scenes, but he will definitely be onscreen at some point. According to Devin’s source Grand Moff Tarkin is also in the movie.
What makes me so happy is that we will see the classic Darth Vader, the menacing one. Not Revenge of the Sith Vader who looks cool in his suit, but feels like a whiny villain. I love the idea of watching that New Hope version of him.
