Ryan Reynolds revealed the official Deadpool suit

Earlier today Ryan Reynolds posted a picture on Twitter of the official look of the Merc with a  Mouth. It’s pretty much what we saw in the footage that helped to kickstart the movie, but this time it has some slight changes. Sometimes it’s so hard to believe that this movie is actually happening since it’s been in development hell for ages. A Deadpool movie is not something easy to pull off, but the test footage directed by Tim Miller was exactly what the audience wanted. Fox did it wrong the first time, but now Deadpool fans seem to get the version of the character they deserve.

The official synopsis was also released this morning:

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

It sounds just the way I expected this synopsis to sound, like when the Civil War synopsis came out. There’s nothing special here, but the description of the comic book. That’s not bad, I do like not to know every twist and turn of the movie. The synopsis doesn’t mention Copycat or Weasel, that’s good.

Going back to the picture, is the suit real? It looks very CGI. The test footage featured a CGI Deadpool, but who knows if Ryan Reynolds will actually be in a red and black suit when filming. It looks very good anyway, I dig the looks of Deadpool, this looks like Deadpool. Also, the picture itself features how silly the character is, this is going great so far.

Deadpool is filming right now and it’s set to be released on February 12, 2016.
