Neil Gaiman has a new book and they’r adapting it. Thankfully, Gaiman is one of my favorite authors, he is great. I haven’t read what Neil wrote right now because the new book will hit bookshelves in October, but I’ve seen the art of his new book and it is amazing. Lorenzo Mattotti worked in this as the illustrator and he did an outstanding work, but enough of the artwork, let’s get to the news.
Juliet Blake, producer of The Hundred-Foot Journey, will bring Hansel and Gretel (A Toon Graphic) to the big screen, live action movie, not a Coraline-type of film. There’s no director attached to the project, yet. I was about to suggest Guillermo del Toro, but he recently dropped out of the new Beauty of the Beast film, he is busy with his Pacific Rim stuff, and I don’t think he has enough time to work on something like this, I do think his take would take this project into another level. Alfonso Cuarón, recently won an Oscar and set a proper tone to the Harry Potter franchise, he is great. What about him?
Sorry, I got too excited with this news, now that I finally realised this is the adaptation of Gaiman’s version of the story and the art looks beautiful.
