Weeks ago we heard that Warner Bros. were planning to release more superhero movies based on the DC Comics characters. They started their shared universe too late, but it seems the DC Cinematic Universe is running. San Diego Comic Con is around the corner, so we are going to have some great announcements for that convention now that Warner Bros. is confident about their properties. The source states that Ryan Reynolds is not going to return as Green Lantern, a new Lantern will team-up with Flash in a movie and Aquaman will be introduced in the Justice League movies.
By the way, Justice League movie was confirmed like a month ago, and now we have the confirmed release date for the film.
Without further ado… the DC Cinematic Universe:
May 6th, 2016 – Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, with Henry Cavill returning as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.
July 2016 – Shazam
Christmas 2016 – Sandman, with Joseph Gordon-Leviit starring and directing.
May 5th, 2017 – Justice League
July 2017 – Wonder Woman
Christmas 2017 – Flash and Green Lantern team-up
May 2018 – Man Of Steel 2, no one said Batman v Superman was a Man Of Steel sequel, this confirms it.
Seems Warner Bros. is ambitious, not even Marvel Studios had so much projects in development when they started Phase One of their cinematic universe. Do you have faith in Warner Bros. and DC?
